Knife-Haters Are Dead Wrong!

Recently, I noticed an interesting web conversation on the subject of flying with knives. Ever since the 9-11 ban on sharp instruments in the passenger compartment of aircraft, knife buffs have been debating how and what you should pack when flying. Rule one is it has to go in your checked luggage, period.

I really haven’t worried too much about losing anything to TSA, as my bags have now been searched on numerous flights without a problem. Of course, that was before custom knifemaker Ken Onion lost $50 grand worth of handmade art folders on a flight out of Hawaii. What was really shocking was how little this concerned the airlines.
