You can teach a monkey to shoot, I wanted to learn how to fight!

Fantastic, and fantastic. That’s how I describe Tactical Response’s Fighting Rifle and Advanced Fighting Rifle classes and the performance of Land Warfare Resources Company’s (LWRC) M6A2 rifle that I used. I knew that the classes would be intense by the list of required items, which included 3,500 rounds of rifle and 750 rounds of pistol ammunition.

Photos by Chris RohlingI decided the anticipated high level of intensity would be the perfect place to put a LWRC piston rifle through its paces and see if their piston design lived up to the claims of running cleaner, cooler, and more reliably. I have shot several of LWRC’s rifles and had been impressed with their performance. This class gave me an opportunity to push the LWRC further and harder than I had previously.
