Editor’s note: The following letter was written to the folks at Galco.
Dear Galco: Your ankle holster, saved my life today. I was on my way into the C-store to pick up a bite for lunch. On my way into the store a man confronted me asking for money. I told him no, and went inside. When I came out, he tackled me. We both went to the ground. When he got up, he was looking down the bore of my handgun. Then he ran off. After the police heard my side and the store clerk’s side of the story, the lawmen said, “I wish there were more people like you on the streets.” The would-be robber was caught a few minutes later trying to do the same thing at another store. I am a concealed-carry permit holder and proud of it. This is the first time I ever had to use my gun to defend myself.
