I am an EOD tech who was serving in Afghanistan. On the 22nd of August, I was working when a secondary IED exploded less than 5 feet from me. I was wearing a pair of [Oakley] SI Ballistic M Frame 2.0’s. I suffered severe lacerations to my face as well as several broken bones. The only reason why I am not blind today is the superior protection the Oakleys provided me with. I’d send a picture of the glasses but they took such an impact that they were never found. I would be blind, so thanks go to Oakley for their commitment to provide soldiers with the best possible protection.
