Blackwater’s APC: Poised to survive everything in its path!

Blackwater has addressed the problems encountered in high-threat environments by applying basic geometry to counter the improvised explosive threats and rocket attacks our troops are up against. The result is a diamond-shaped hull design protecting the passengers inside. Being that many IEDs are set off when a vehicle rolls near or over a device, the force of the blast often blows through conventional flat panels. With the diamond-shaped armored hull, the blast is deflected, minimizing the lethal force of the explosion.

grizzly2.jpgThis is an answer to needs experienced by Blackwater operators attacked in vehicles. Brad Gresham, Blackwater’s Director of Business Development indicates, “Blackwater’s security professionals are in harm’s way every day and face many of the same threats as our armed forces. Unlike other vehicle manufacturers, our own people have firsthand experience with the changing tactics of the enemy. Everything we know about what’s going on in theater went into the development of the Grizzly so that we can better protect all Americans.
