Country music fans have come to know Craig Morgan’s music well, but what many don’t know is that he spent 10 years on active duty in the U.S. Army. Craig served as a Fire Support Specialist in the 101st and 82nd Airborne divisions, and was deployed in Desert Storm.
With a string of Top 10 singles, gold records and more, it’s tough not to enjoy Craig’s mix of patriotic lyrics and down-home flavor. His efforts earned the 2006 USO Merit Award for his tireless support of U.S. soldiers and their families.
Craig divides his time between being with family, recording new hits and filming Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors for The Outdoor Channel.
MY FIRST GUN: It was a Stevens .410 single-shot breakdown shotgun—a Christmas gift when I was 10. Getting it meant that I had graduated to a new status, one with greater responsibility. My parents had given me their trust. My first rifle was a .22. I don’t remember the make, but it was a single-shot bolt action.
