A few years ago, I did a training course for a group of corporate close protection personnel and was asked to include a 2-hour segment on clothing selection as well as having it properly tailored for the close protection professional. My co-instructors found it ironic because I was known for wearing jeans and t-shirts as much as possible.
However, I did work out of London one time and had access to excellent custom tailors and worked for clients where proper business attire was mandatory. When I started doing protective work, my wife was a model and had a good sense of fashion as well as excellent contacts among tailors, so she helped me learn how to pick and choose appropriate attire for the job.
