For the most part, the old adage, “You get what you pay for,” applies especially well to firearms. Anytime I see a gun with a suggested retail that is substantially lower than comparable guns, I give it a skeptical eye. My natural skepticism almost caused me to overlook two pistols from Cobra Enterprises of Utah.
I recently received samples of the Cobra Patriot, a polymer .45ACP semi-autopistol, and the Big Bore .38 Special over/under derringer. Both of these guns are priced for the budget-conscious consumer but their performance is anything but cheap.
