The original “Stealth 1” is an older one of TJ’s Custom Gunworks exotic handgun creations. The “Stealth 1” is the first in the long line of TJ’s cut down series pistols. For many years it was the smallest 1911 .45ACP ever made. The thumb safety and slide stop have been nearly “flush cut” and then hand checkered to allow operation, surprisingly they are still quite easy to manipulate though. Also incorporated were thin aluminum grips and a “round ball magazine release”. The gun was designed not only as an “art gun” but to leave the flattest print for concealed carry applications. Starting life as a full size government 1911 frame, TJ chopped it up and removed the middle section out of the gun and welded it back together, then proceeded to hand craft stainless finger rings resembling old brass knuckles welding them onto the front strap. Along with the finger rings, there is a bottom base tang welded to help with ring finger support, and a wide mouth magazine well for quick reloads.
The “Devils 1911” is another one of TJ’s Custom Gunworks exotic handgun creations. Starting life as only spare parts, it was transformed into a “one of a kind” carry defense pistol. Starting with a Caspian stainless frame and Detonics ScoreMaster match slide assembly with bull barrel, this pistol also boasts features like a 2.5-pound match trigger job, 100% reliability work package, custom milled slide grooves, hand modified aluminum match trigger, fitted and modified Ed Brown match commander hammer with custom one-way serrations, “TJ Series-1 Drop-in Beavertail”, checkered & heel rounded main spring housing, coarse stippled front strap and triggerguard, hand checkered magazine release, beveled magazine well, custom crafted tactical stainless thumb safety and slide stop, Millett sights, and of course “The Reaper” laser cut wood grips.
