Black Rain Ordnance’s stated goal is to produce the finest semi-custom AR-15-style rifles available, ones loaded with everything a shooter could ever want. And the company’s new left-hand ejection, .223, semi-auto Fallout 15 LH rifle is ready for the rigors of service and competition. Boasting an 18-inch barrel with polygonal three-groove rifling and a 1-in-8-inch twist, it’s capable of stabilizing the heaviest .223 Rem you can feed it. Author Glenn Gilbert reports, “For accuracy testing, I fitted the Fallout 15 LH with a 1-9x28mm Leupold CQBSS riflescope. Accuracy was, in a word, impressive.” The author got sub-MOA using commercial loads from Winchester, Federal and Hornady as well as some NATO surplus rounds made in Germany—all fed, fired and ejected without hitch. Find out more about the Fallout’s left-hand designing and quality features in the 2014 issue of Black Guns, available on newsstands and digitally on July 23, 2013.
