Twenty years ago, on October 3, 1993 a group of US Army Rangers and SpecOps soldiers ventured into the heart of the Bakara market in Mogadishu. What started as a routine mission turned into a battle for their lives—a battle that several of them sadly lost. Known by the surviors as the Battle of the Black Sea, the engagement was later portrayed in the motion picture Black Hawk Down.
