An Everett man who allegedly pointed a pellet gun toward cars in Lake Stevens on Tuesday found himself surrounded by police armed with real guns.
Lake Stevens police were called to the intersection at 91st Avenue and Market Place late Tuesday morning after several reports of a man with a gun.
Witnesses said a man in a blue bandana was pointing his weapon at traffic, according to court papers.
The suspect, 37, later was spotted on top of an elevated sewer cover with what appeared to be a short- barrelled automatic gun, police wrote in court papers.
The man said he was playing a game with five other people with “airsoft” pellet guns. Police found no one who could confirm his account.
