It has been a month since President Biden withdrew all troops from Afghanistan, ending America’s involvement in the 20-year war. Or so it would seem, provided you don’t consider the American citizens and Afghan allies that remain behind enemy lines. How many? The Biden administration doesn’t know. However, there is a private recovery effort under way, from veteran run Operation Recovery. Joining the effort is EOTECH, offering their support of a $50k donation to Operation Recovery, to help their efforts.
EOTECH Supports Operation Recovery with $50k Donation
In what is one of the most significant military debacles in history, the Biden administration has left American citizens and Afghan allies at the hands of the Taliban. Understandably, this is not sitting well with those that risked their lives for 20 years to liberate Afghanistan.
As a result, Operation Recovery, a group of individuals who served in Afghanistan have vowed not to sit idly by. For this reason, they are providing support to U.S. Veteran group Task Force Pineapple. Task Force Pineapple is working to “repatriate American Citizens and Afghan allies by helping fund safe cover, movement, and medical services to injured and displaced people.”
Currently Task Force Pineapple is caring for over 550 individuals. Likewise, others protect 70+ persons at high risk of reprisal from the Taliban. This total adds to the over 800 persons Operation Recovery has moved to safety. Showing support for this project, EOTECH has puts money where its mouth is, in the form of a $50k donation.
“American patriots and Afghan allies desperately need our help now,” warns Lisa Kemp, EOTECH Director of Marketing.
Up until this current administration, America has had a time-honored tradition of No Man Left Behind. This is a sentiment still cherished by many, including EOTECH, as they are currently demonstrating. The support of EOTECH for Operation Recovery helps move people to safety, while ensuring longer-term settlement of our veterans and Afghan allies.
There is More to Be Done
As of now Operation Recovery’s requests for assistance and refugee aid has swelled to over 4,000 people. And they anticipate many more like requests in the coming months. All donations, including large donations from company’s like EOTECH, directly influence operations. For example, efforts such as moving at risk individuals out of Afghanistan are strengthened by the support. Additionally, resettlement and reintegration once back in the United States, at the community level, are possible.
“We hope our contribution to Operation Recovery encourages like-minded businesses and individuals to donate to this time-sensitive operation,” encourages Kemp.
Donations to Operation Recovery help provide transport, food, lodging, medical care and safety to those within the Task Force Pineapple network. These are the people who have given so much and now they need our help to complete their critical mission.
