The program, known as the Citizen’s Law Enforcement Academy, will inform the public about the daily duties of officers and deputies, in addition to teaching participants how to protect themselves from crime, how to report a crime and the consequences of a crime.
Citizens will also get the opportunity to learn about training and equipment, crime investigation, the use of firearms and stun guns, K-9 units, and much more.
Classes will run from Jan. 23 until April 3 at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office
