H-S Precision’s PLR is capable of accepting a variety of high-quality rings and base mounts that attach directly to the receiver of the rifle.

The PLR’s Pro-Series 2000 action features a three position safety, a cocking indicator, and an enlarged tactical bolt handle.

The test rifle’s trigger is adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds. The firing pin also has a speed spring installed for a faster lock time.

The PLR utilizes a three-round detachable magazine with a slimline profile for greater reliability. The basepad also matches the stock.

H-S Precision includes a precise muzzle crown on all of its match-grade 10X barrels. The test PLR featured a fluted, 26-inch barrel.

The stock on the PLR is a new design meant for long-range prone shooting with a vertical grip, an elevated cheekweld and a rounded forend.

For positive extraction every time, the Pro-Series 2000 bolt features a semi-cone bolt head with a completely enclosed claw extractor.

The PLR’s camouflaged stock blends into rural settings well, and the rounded forend features studs for mounting a stable bipod.

A 3-18x50mm Swarovski Z6 scope was used for testing. Its BRX reticle made hits at 300 yards an easy task and never obscured the targets.

With the PLR, H-S Precision has put all of its high-quality individual components into one package. At its heart is the company’s Pro-Series 2000 action—the same action used in nearly all of its rifle models. The Pro-Series 2000 is comprised of a one-piece bolt body machined from heat-treated 4142 steel. The action body is machined from heat-treated 17-4PH stainless steel. One unique feature is the semi-cone bolt head with a claw extractor that is totally enclosed within the bolt head. The advantage of the totally enclosed case head, which Remington has made famous in terms of accuracy and strength, is combined with the best feature of the classic Mauser action—positive extraction of a case from the chamber. three-position type with a safety and a cocking indicator. The firing pin has a speed spring installed for a faster lock time. H-S Precision even
designs and manufacturers its own trigger, which is adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds.
