Ohio Law enforcement officers in Mahonig County recently underwent in-service training involving learning new homicide investigation techniques from an expert in the field. According to WFMJ, the three-day training course involved detectives and officers from 10 different departments. It was hosted by Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene.
“There’s nothing better than to be able to review and look over cases that have already been solved and hopefully utilize training here out in the field should it happen,” said Captain Stephen McGeary of the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department.
Among the new techniques taught to the police officers was Victimology, a study which examines the relationship between the victim and their attacker.
