Recognizing the Internet as a new type of battleground that requires a military strategy, a group of NATO members, including the U.S. and Germany, has established somewhat of an internal cybersecurity think tank. The Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence based in Tallin, Estonia analyzes emerging viruses and other threats, and pass on alerts to sponsoring NATO governments.
