The highly-classified EXACTO program, which began a year ago when U.S. military scientists and engineers at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) let the industry know it was seeking the world’s first and most powerful “supergun.” Lockheed Martin and Barrett Rifles, among other industry leaders, are working together with DARPA and the Pentagon to research and perfect this industry changing weapon.
