The 1911 platform remains a stalwart in popularity, the timeless classic design appealing to many. American Tactical just announced the release of the all-new FXH-45M Moxie, an affordable version of the Old Warhorse.

The FXH-45M Moxie looks and feels different, utilizing a new barrel, slide and sight set. The full-size hybrid 1911 features a patented polymer frame with two metal inserts for stability and durability. The Moxie also includes a 4140 steel slide with a parkerized finish. The frame comes with built-in finger grooves for better ergonomics.

The single-action, semi-automatic Moxie comes in 45 Auto. It measures 5.4 inches high and 8.7 inches long overall. The pistol weigh in a 1.95 pounds unloaded, without a magazine. It features black polymer grips and a removable top plate for an optics mount. The Moxie accepts Glock front and rear sights, including aftermarket models. The pistol also accommodates most standard 1911 parts and grips. Finally, it ships with one eight-round magazine. The Moxie retails for $399.95.
