The Shaaher long-range sniper and Neinava tactical vehicle were unveiled during a ceremony in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Saturday, attended by Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan.
The 14.5 mm-caliber sniper rifle has an effective range of three kilometers (km) and a useful range of four km. The weapon, which is 185 centimeters long and weighs 22 kilograms, requires three operators for efficient use.

The Shaher sniper rifle, which weighs 22 kilograms, is 185 centimeters long, and has an effective range of 4000 meters. It has been designed and manufactured by the experts at the Self-Sufficiency Jihad of the Army.
The rifle can be used to destroy concrete bunkers, armored vehicles, and helicopters.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, Army Commander Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said that the Iranian army is the most powerful army in the region and is completely prepared to defend the territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic.
