ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – NATO forces in Afghanistan have attacked militants in Pakistan in coordination with Pakistani soldiers, marking a change in the tension between Pakistan and NATO that began when Pakistan claimed that international forces were violating the country’s sovereignty by targeting militants inside the its borders. The attack was in response to militants firing rockets into an allied base in Paktika province, in eastern Afghanistan from across the border.
