Savage Arms recently announced it updated the successful Axis rifle line. Moreover, now Savage offers the Axis II, furthering the company’s commitment to deliver precision and performance at an economical price.
Savage Arms Axis II Features
Firstly, the heart of the upgrade is Savage’s redesigned stock. Further, the company claims the stock improves the ergonomics over previous versions. Further, the Axis II utilizes Savage’s AccuTrigger, a user-adjustable trigger system. Savage’s thread-in headspacing system and floating bolt head help deliver accuracy, according to Savage Arms.
The Axis II sports a 22-inch button-rifled sporter barrel. Meanwhile, a detachable box magazine feeds the rifle system. Finally, Savage manufactures the upgraded rifle line in at least 10 different calibers, meaning there is a variant available for nearly every sporting pursuit.
Savage rebuilt the synthetic stock on the AXIS II for improved ergonomics that let any hunter shoot their best. Additionally, the rifle’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger, thread-in headspacing and floating bolt head extract the utmost accuracy from the 22-inch button rifled sporter barrel for the performance of high-end hunting rifles at a fraction of the price.
This is the second rifle overhaul from Savage in recent months. Savage also announced recently it had updated the original Axis line as well.
