We’re big fans of Robar around here. After all, they produce some of the finest custom firearms and finishes out there in the marketplace today, and their track record ever since they first burst onto the scene back in 1983 speaks for itself. For example, did you know that LAPD SWAT’s first precision rifle was a Robar SR-60? It’s true. Also, the USMC’s first .50-cal was a Robar RC-50, and it’s still being used today by the Coast Guard. We could go on, but you get the idea. These guys make rugged and reliable firearms for harsh environments.

With those credentials, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to check in with them at SHOT Show 2017 in Las Vegas. We talked to the company’s General Manager, Freddie Blish, who — after giving us a quick history lesson on Robar — showed us some of their choice custom firearms, including the ITTS Reitz Signature Edition 1911; RC-1911 CQB; enhanced Glock 17; and the PolymAR-15. Check out the video above for a closer look at all of these models.
