Safariland, a BAE Systems line of business, announced today that it has released the Hatch Model SOG-HKG Operator™ HKG Gauntlet glove. This tactical glove features the longer length to protect the wrist and forearm in tactical applications and close-quarters combat. These gloves are constructed of durable goatskin in the palms and knuckles for superior abrasion and tear resistance, and feature a hard knuckle design for protection and sound buffering for a more tactical posture.

Hatch gloves use industry leading materials along with their signature Ergo Cut™ design and patented Cut-Ring to produce a glove that is extremely functional, durable and comfortable. The Operator SOG-HKG backs are constructed of a Kevlar®/Nomex® blend that provides fire resistance and wicks moisture and perspiration away, keeping the user’s hands cool in hot environments. For shooting, the patented Cut-Ring on the index finger allows for the optional removal of the trigger finger without unraveling the remaining edge. Further, the gloves stay snug around the forearm with a wraparound hook and loop closure.

The exclusive Hatch Ergo-Cut™ allows the glove to conform to the curvature of the hand for truly superior dexterity and comfort. It actually decreases hand fatigue and enhances weapon control by mimicking the exact functional position of the hand. The overlay of goatskin aniline leather placed in the weapon cradle of the glove minimizes the possibility of implements being wrestled from the wearer’s hand by providing extra grip and better weapon control.

The Operator SOG-HKG is available now and offered in three colors: Black (SOG-HKG300), Foliage (SOG-HKG350) and Coyote Tan (SOG-HKG400). They are offered at an MSRP of $89.00.
