A number of tactical illumination tools graced the tables at Streamlight’s booth including the recently introduced PolyTac flashlights. The PolyTac is a powerful personal flashlight that’s available with either a 72-lumen xenon incandescent bulb or 120-lumen, C4-technology-powered LED. Both are compact and lightweight while each has their own unique benefits. The LED is impervious to shock and can last more than 50,000 hours while the xenon model offers an adjustable head for variable spot-to-flood focus. Both models have a weight of just 4 ounces, measure a length just greater than 5 inches and are powered by 2, 3-volt lithium batteries. Like other lights in its class, the Polytac utilizes a tailcap push button activation switch for one-handed operation and it can be rotated to a “safe” position to prevent accidental illumination.
