With the launch of the Pro 700 rifle chassis, bipod, RLS (Rifleman Loop Sling) and its first-ever line of eyewear, it’s safe to say Magpul is having a pretty good 2018 thus far. Now the Texas-based company just added another intriguing new product to its lineup: the Hunter American stock designed for Ruger American short action rifles.

At the heart of the Magpul Hunter American stock is an anodized aluminum bedding block with steel recoil lugs. The company then added in reinforced polymer. Touted as a cost-effective replacement of the factory Ruger American short action rifle stock, this stock offers a fully adjustable length of pull and comb height. In addition, it requires no bedding and is a “true drop-in solution,” Magpul says. It’s M-LOK compatible and comes with Magpul’s bolt action magazine well and a PMAG 5 7.62 AC, which enables the rifle to be used with detachable box mags, with no custom inletting required.

Available in black, FDE, gray and olive drab green and weighing in at 3.3 pounds, the Magpul Hunter American stock is now shipping and is listed at $299.95. See the features and specs, along with hype videos, below.
