With the explosion in popularity of all things long-range precision comes a quieter, yet growing trend. More shooters are turning to rimfire precision, for both practice and competition in its own right. Now Rival Arms offers a Ruger 10/22-based chassis system, dubbed the R-22 Precision Chassis.

Rival Arms R-22 Precision Chassis

The R-22 Precision Chassis comes in all colors, fitting Ruger 10/22-styled barreled actions. It works with actions featuring a 1-inch maximum barrel diameter.

The R-22 utilizes CNC-machined aluminum from billet for consistency, strength and rigidity. It weighs in at a mere 1 pound overall. It comes in black anodized, KG GunKote Flat Dark Earth and Satin Gray finishes.

The chassis includes scalloped texturing on the forend to enhance grip. Meanwhile, 11 integrated M-LOK slot provide attachment points and reduce weight. The R-22 also accommodates most AR-style vertical or angled pistol grips. It also works with mil-spec buffer tubes for even greater modularity. The forend comes tapped to accept a sling swivel stud, positioned for sling or bipod use.

The Ruger 10/22 remains one of the most modular, highly-customized rimfire platforms available. And the new R-22 becomes the latest to take on Ruger’s famous platform. The R-22 comprises a DIY project for anyone looking to upgrade their Ruger 10/22. It retails for $254.99. For even more information, please visit rival-arms.com.
