SIG Sauer 6mm Creedmoor
The 6mm revolution continues to rage on, with long-distance shooters, competitors, tactical shooters and hunters alike all finding use for one of several cartridges in this class. The SIG Elite Copper Hunting 6mm Creedmoor features an 80-grain all-copper bullet. It delivers deep penetration and consistent 1.8X diameter expansion with maximum terminal ballistic performance, according to SIG Sauer. SIG bills the 6mm Creedmoor as highly accurate and capable on medium-size game.
The fast, flat-shooting cartridge bullet brings a high ballistic coefficient, allowing it to push through wind with less drag. The cartridge delivers a muzzle velocity of 3,300 fps and muzzle energy of 1,935 ft-lbs.
“6mm Creedmoor ammunition is in high demand as is the 6.5 Creedmoor load,” said Brad Criner, Senior Director, Brand Management and Business Development, SIG SAUER Ammunition. “Our customers have been asking for both and we are happy to now offer these two hot hunting cartridges in our Elite Copper Hunting line.”
The new SIG Sauer 6mm Creedmoor joins .223 Rem., .243 Win. 300 BLK, .308 Win, 30-06 Sprg., .300 Win. Mag. and 6.5 Creedmoor in the Elite Copper Hunting line. For more information, visit sigsauer.com.
