Black Hills 175-grain .308 Match

This new load from Black Hills features a polymer-tipped, 175-grain Sierra MatchKing bullet that has an impressive 0.535 ballistic coefficient. Starting out with a velocity of 2,600 fps. and delivering 2,626 foot-pounds of energy (fpe) at the muzzle, it is still travelling at 1,830 fps at 500 yds, delivering 1,302 fpe to the target. Zeroed at 200 yards, it is slightly less than 50 inches low at 500 yards. The tipped bullet expands rapidly and fragments, making it a good load for tactical operations where overpenetration and collateral damage is a concern. Expect availability by June 2014.
