The Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle has been in service for over 20 years, and is an excellent all around carbine. Based on user feedback, this rifle has also been reported to be great for tactical applications, which led GG&G to manufacture a scope mount for this terrific carbine. The company decided that it would be a good idea to introduce not one, but two high quality scope mounts for the Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle. Utilizing the mini-red dot scope trend that is spreading through the market place today, GG&G designed and manufactured a scope mount specifically to accommodate the mini-red dots from Burris, Doctor, JP and Trijicon. The low profile design affords a great cheek weld. The mount is 5.8 inches long and places the mini-red dot forward for long eye relief and quick target acquisition.
The second mount is a MIL-STD-1913 dovetail rail version that also offers a low profile mounting platform for conventional red dot optics or magnified scope and ring combinations. The MIL-STD-1913 rail is 5.7 inches long to provide ample mounting space.
Both rails interface with factory Ruger Ranch Rifle integral mounts, and have relief cuts beneath the rail for unimpeded cartridge ejection. The mounts are precision machined from solid billet 6061-T6 aluminum and are Type III hard anodized in combat matte black per mil-spec. Both have been designed and manufactured to meet the rigors associated with professional use.
