Get your mouse ready. The knife that nearly broke the internet returns, in an all-new but just as limited run. The Magpul Rigger releases Friday, Dec. 11, at 12 p.m. EST. And we fully expect the Limited Edition Stonewashed Green Micarta variant to sell out in a mere nanosecond.
Magpul Rigger Stonewashed Green Micarta
Precision-engineered from premium materials, the Rigger delivers signature form and function. It features a skeletonized, lightweight double-locking titanium frame lock. It includes textured OD green linen Micarta scale. A modified Wharncliffe blade is forged from Crucible Particle Metallurgy S35VN stainless steel.
A jimped flipper deploys and locks the blade quickly and smoothly. The secondary locking feature prevents accidental closure. A mere flick of the thumb disengages the mechanism.
The blade edge features a distinct distal taper and slight belly. The design enhances ease of sharpening, maintenance and utility. The primary bevel decreases weight. It also maintains blade strength and rigidity, according to Magpul. The blade holds its edge longer than lesser steels, a welcome attribute.
A titanium pocket clip features a hollow attachment screw for lanyards. It both removes or reverses with a screwdriver. The sleek, modern profile ensures the Rigger rides comfortably in the pocket. The knife measures 7.59 inches overall open and 4.52 inches closed. It works for both EDC and field tasks.
The Rigger comes with a custom high-strength, injection-molded, weather-resistant case. Inspired by the PMAG, it feature a paint pen dot matrix for identification and marking. Lastly is MSRP. Like the other limited releases, the new Rigger retails for $425. For even more info, please visit magpul.com.
