Just released from Spyderco is the Stretch Lightweight with a ZDP-189 steel blade. Stretch C90BL has a cobalt blue FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle and exotic Japanese ZDP-189 imported steel blade. ZDP-189 blade steel is manufactured using powdered metal technology and is one of the hardest, highest performing knife steel used in the knife industry. 3% of its component composition is pure carbon making the steel harder with expansive edge retention. The blade has a modified drop-point profile, ground thin and fully-flat with an arcing belly.
C36CMO Military Model with Camo G-10 Handle
Digital camouflage or Digicam is the outcome of applying engineering psychology with the study of visual biophysics and human visual performance. A cornerstone model in Spyderco’s Save and Serve line up is the C36 Military Model meeting the requirements of a high-performance, light-weight folder designed for hard use. Since the steel is the spirit of the knife, CPM-S30V with almost 2% carbon seemed the logical choice for the blade given its reputation for long-term edge retention and rust resistance. The ‘Millie’ has a modified clip-point blade laser cut with a 14 mm Spyderco Round Hole for quick deployment and for use with gloves. A contoured black metal clip is set for right-hand tip-down carry. Made in Golden, Colorado U.S.A. Earth Overall Length: 9-1/2” (241mm) Blade Length: 4” (102mm) Weight: 4.25oz (120g).
