Leupold recently announced the release of five new optics to its VX-Freedom line of riflescopes. The additions include models with illuminated reticles, 30mm maintubes and caliber-specific ballistic turrets.
This third wave of VX-Freedom riflescopes comes on the heels of the 16 models that launched last year. Additionally, the new lineup delivers more usability to the VX-Freedom line, according to Leupold. Two models incorporate FireDot illumination. Meanwhile, two others deliver greater magnification that previous models. The final new model comes with a special ballistic turret paired to the 350 Legend cartridge.
“The VX-Freedom line has been designed from the ground up to deliver the versatility and performance that hunters and shooters have come to expect from Leupold,” said Vici Peters, Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “The addition of illuminated reticles and greater magnification range to the line provides our consumers with even more options when selecting a riflescope for their favorite activity – all at a tremendous value.”
Leupold VX-Freedom Features
Both new illuminated options feature 30mm maintubes and a fast-focus eyepiece. A 3-9×40 features an illuminate FireDot Duplex reticle. Meanwhile, the 3-9×40 AR model comes with a .223 ballistic dial and milliradian turrets to run alongside its FireDot Tri-Mil reticle.
New 4-12×40 and 6-18×40 scopes feature a 30mm maintube, a Tri-MOA reticle, and Leupold’s Custom Dial System (CDS). Both models also incorporate a side-focus feature, allowing for a more rapid, convenient parallax adjustment, according to Leupold.
The 350 Legend scope comes as a 3-9×40 with a Duplex reticle and one-inch maintube. It also comes with a ballistic turret precut to support adjustments for 350 Legend, 150-grain bullet with a muzzle velocity of 2,325 fps.
The entire VX-Freedom delivers a versatile platform for hunting, from .22 to AR to bolt gun. The line features military-spec lens coatings and low-profile selector rings. Finally, Leupold’s Twilight Light Management System aids in low-light situations and prevents glare.
Like all of the company’s riflescopes, Leupold backs the VX-Freedom with a Full Lifetime Guarantee. For more information, visit leupold.com.
