In the upcoming February 2014 issue of Special Weapons for Military & Police, author Rob Garrett goes behind the scenes at Gemtech, one of the world’s most well-known suppressor companies, to discuss its new engineers and some of their latest revolutionary products — Gemtech’s New Suppressors.

Garrett writes, “Under the new leadership, Gemtech has very quietly been redesigning the company’s complete line of suppressors. In doing so, the company has succeeded in taking innovation, efficiency and quality to a new level. All Gemtech suppressors, from the rimfire units to the centerfire rifle units, will be user-serviceable. At the heart of each new suppressor is a G-Core baffle. The G-Core is a monocore design that has been specifically engineered for maximum sound reduction. Part of this engineering involves having each chamber specifically designed for the heat and gas pressure in that part of the core. This allows the core to be more efficient and increases the round life of the suppressor.”
