No strangers to innovation, California-based SureFire definitely raised the bar with its new MasterFire rapid deploy holster system. Watch the video below to see it in action.

The SureFire MasterFire is a lightweight retention holster designed to hold basically any handgun equipped with the company’s H-series weaponlight. A proprietary lug-and-cam system locks the weaponlight and handgun in place with Level III retention. The holster also uses an open top design to accommodate suppressors and/or red dot sights.

As opposed to most other holsters, the SureFire MasterFire is indexed to the weaponlight, meaning it can be used as one holster for multiple handguns. Another cool feature for this holster is that it sports a light-activation switch that automatically activates the H-series weaponlight or laser when the gun is drawn. This saves you valuable time in high-stress situations and makes one-handed manipulations easier, the press release says.

The SureFire MasterFire is 8.25 inches in length; 4.48 inches wide and weighs 8.75 ounces. Thanks to two included release-button adapters, it can be fitted to fit nearly any hand size. It’s also adjustable to fit up to 2½-inch duty belts.
