New for 2014, BattleComp has unveiled three separate 5.56 compensators: the BC1.0, BC1.5 and BC2.0. Scroll down to watch a video highlighting these brand new releases.
The BattleComp 1.0 is a tough tactical compensator precision machined from 17-4PH heat-treated stainless steel bar stock. It is made to fit barrels with 1/2×28 RH standard threads. Additionally, the BC1.0 is designed for 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. It is available in a Matte Stainless or Black Oxide finish. The list price for this new product is $149.99.
Similar to the BC1.0, the BattleComp 1.5 compensator is made from 17-4PH heat-treated stainless steel bar stock, fits all barrels with 1/2×28 RH standard threads, is available in a Matte Stainless or Black Oxide finish, and works with 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem. The BC1.5 can be attached to a 14.5″ barrel, making it 16″, and therefore legally compliant. This action requires custom professional installation by a gunsmith, who will fit a pin through the #7 hole. List price for the BC1.5 is $155.
The BC2.0 is a compensator which mirrors the 1.5 and 1.0 in terms of precision machined stainless steel construction, as well as the ammunition for which it is designed (5.56 NATO and .223 Rem). However, BattleComp has upped the ante by making the BC2.0 compatible with the GemTech HALO and AAC Omni suppressors. Purchase of the BC2.0 comes with a Shim kit for enhanced concentricity. For shooters who are using suppressors, professional installation by a gunsmith using Rocksett is required. The 2.0 comes in a Black Oxide finish. The list price for this new product is $165.
With their line of tactical compensators, BattleComp has raised the stakes and produced a winner for those in the military and law enforcement communities who use the AR15 platform for CQB. Founded in 2010, this rising South San Francisco-based company is undoubtedly here for the long haul.
