Buck Knives made waves last year when it introduced an auto version of its classic 110 Folding Hunter. Now, the Idaho-based company is taking the next logical step and introducing two automatic versions of its famed 112 Ranger folding knife.
First up is the 112 Auto. According to the press release, this model closely mirrors the 112 Ranger with its brass bolsters and wood handle. It also sports a three-inch clip point 420HC steel blade which deploys with the simple push of a button. Tipping the scales at 5.6 ounces, which is slightly less than the 112 Ranger, the 112 Auto features a Macassar Ebony handle. It also comes with a genuine leather sheath. The MSRP on this model is $175.
Not to be outdone, the 112 Auto Elite amps up the proceedings with its three-inch clip point blade made from tough S30V steel. It also includes a black G10 handle and brushed nickel silver bolsters. This version weighs a little more at 6.1 ounces. Similar to the 112 Auto, a genuine leather sheath is included for safe carry. The 112 Auto Elite is priced at $225.
