The new VTAC rifle, built with specifications from Kyle Lamb, features matte black upper and lower receivers, both of which have a sleek, slim, snag-free design for fast handling characteristics. The upper is equipped with either a steel or carbon-fiber-wrapped, 16-inch barrel featuring a unique standoff muzzle device. Surrounding the barrel is Christensen Arms’ sleek carbon-fiber handguard, which features a long top Picatinny rail for mounting sights and optics that mates up seamlessly with the flattop rail of the upper receiver, and the remaining sides of the octagonal handguard have KeyMod slots for attaching accessories such as lights, lasers, grips and bipods.
All together the rifle weighs just a little over 5 pounds thanks to its carbon-fiber enhancements. The lower receiver features a generously beveled magazine well for faster reloads, a Magpul grip and stock and a VTAC series trigger, which has a flat face and is skeletonized.
