Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510TKR-3B
Taurus Model 4510TKR-3B: The standard Taurus Judge revolver with a blued finish, this powerhouse preserves the essence of the winning platform: a 3-inch barrel, five .45/.410 chambers, a fixed fiber-optic front sight, a rear sight channel and a recoil-decelerating Ribber grip. Just about as concealable as Judge models get, this one is built on Taurus’ compact revolver frame but still measures 1.5 inches wide.
Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510SS6MAG
Taurus Model 4510SS6MAG: This stainless steel powerhouse offers shooters a defensive revolver with increased resistance to to sweat, weather, wear and tear. A solid choice for personal defense, its extra-long barrel pairs very nicely with high-velocity defensive ammunition.
Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510PD-3B
Taurus Model 4510PD-3B: This Public Defender model is designed as a concealed-carry version of the Judge, and it features a slightly shorter barrel (at 2.5 inches), a more streamlined hammer designed to inhibit snagging when drawn from concealment, and an overall lighter weight at just over 28 ounces. Options include a titanium cylinder for further weight reduction, and while this model has a blued frame, a similar model with a stainless steel frame, the Model 4510PD-3SS, is also available.

Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510TKR-3SS
Taurus Model 4510TKR-3SS: The stainless steel model of the standard Judge, this design includes a long ejector rod that helps to better extract long shotshell cartridges for quick reloading, the Taurus Security System internal locking mechanism to secure the pistol against unauthorized use, and the transfer bar safety to protect against accidental discharges, that are standard throughout the Judge line—and this model puts that all in a stainless steel package to fight corrosion.
Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510PD-3SS
Taurus Model 4510PD-3SS: The stainless steel Public Defender is built on a small revolver frame but features an extended cylinder that is bored to accept 2.5-inch, .410-bore or .45 Colt cartridges. The shortened grip aids in concealment, and the reduced-profile hammer helps provide a snag-free draw from concealment.
Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510PLYFS
Taurus Model 4510PLYFS: This model in the Public Defender line utilizes a polymer frame with embedded steel components to save significantly on weight while enhancing its corrosion resistance and endurance, as carry guns are subjected to sweat and moisture, holster wear and other rigors on a daily basis. The low-profile hammer is great for concealed carry because it won’t snag on the draw, and the rear sight is windage adjustable (quite unique among Judge variants).

Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510TrackerB
Taurus Model 4510TrackerB: When you need especially high velocities and energy from your Judge revolver, look to the 6.5-inch-barreled Tracker models. The blued version presents a classic finish to a very unique handgun. The 1-in-12-inch twist rate will rotate your solid projectile (but not your shot cup) about half a turn before it exits the barrel. A stainless steel version is also available.
Taurus Raging Judge 513SS6 Revolver
Taurus Raging Judge 513SS6: The largest production version of the Raging Judge, this impressive pistol includes a vent rib atop the barrel to help dissipate the heat mirage from firing all cylinders of .454 Casull ammunition. It can also chamber .45 Colt and .410-bore shotshells, giving you some tremendous versatility in a very hand-filling package.
Taurus Raging Judge 513SS3 Revolver
Taurus Raging Judge 513SS3: The more easily concealable Raging Judge, this model’s claim to fame is its ability to accept .454 Casull ammunition as well as .45 Colt cartridges and .410-bore shotshells. You can even load them in sequence, in pairs or alternating, in the six-shot cylinder, to really feel the difference in recoil and power of each round. This puts the most firepower possible from this frame size into your hand for defense against the worst of man or beast.

Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510PLY-SS2
Taurus Model 4510PLY-SS2: The stainless steel cylinder on this polymer-framed Public Defender model further improves its resistance to corrosion from sweat, humidity, rain and other environmental factors while giving the concealed-carry-ready Model 4510PLY-SS2 a very distinctive two-tone look.
Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510TKR-3MAG
Taurus Model 4510TKR-3MAG: Built on a compact revolver frame, the magnum version of the stainless steel Judge variant seen here is highly resistant to weather, sweat and other adverse conditions while providing you a comfortable, very secure grip thanks to the high-traction, recoil-absorbing Ribber grip. The longer cylinder on the Model 4510TKR-3MAG accepts 3-inch magnum rounds as well as shorter .410-bore shotshells and .45 Colt cartridges. This is a truly versatile powerhouse.
Taurus Judge Revolver Model 4510TKR-3BMAG
Taurus Model 4510TKR-3BMAG: The magnum version of the modern Judge, this model features a cylinder with 3-inch chambers that accept particularly powerful defensive loads in .410 bore, and, of course, hard-hitting defensive loads in .45 Colt as well. the fiber-optic front sight gets you on target fast, whether tracking moving threats or lining up on static targets.

It’s been 10 years since Taurus breathed new life into the .410 shotshell cartridge and shook the handgun world to its foundations. Before 2006, if you wanted a cloud of birdshot to come out of your handgun, you did not have a lot of options in a “traditional” handgun.

Taurus’ engineers had a challenge, and its leadership, a vision: to put the practical effect of a shotgun into an easily carried, multi-shot handgun. The theory held that there was a market for close-range defensive handguns that could fire buckshot at carjackers and muggers, and that shooters would quickly embrace the idea that multiple projectiles flying to their defense per trigger pull would be better than one.

So, Taurus’ engineers modified a .45 Colt revolver frame to accept 21/2-inch, .410-bore shotshells. The rifling spread the shot a little too quickly, so they modified its depth such that it would still stabilize solid projectiles but wouldn’t impart so much spin to the plastic wads around the shot column. And they tinkered. And they tinkered some more. Then they released the first Judge, Model 4410, revolutionizing this category of handguns entirely.

A Fitting Name

The name “Judge” came about when Bob Morrison, then-president of Taurus International, heard that judges in Miami, Florida (and increasingly elsewhere, too) were carrying the 4410 revolvers under their robes for personal protection.

Few people anger more violent felons regularly than judges, so he figured their silent testimony had some merit—and in their honor, he named the pistol the Taurus Judge. The model number was later changed to 4510 to acknowledge the gun’s ability to chamber .45 Colt cartridges as well—and to eliminate any confusion from the “44” in the prior model name.

Now, sales of Judge models reportedly outpace sales of any other Taurus handgun. While the essence of the Judge is a five-shot, double-action revolver chambered for 21/2-inch, .410-bore shotshells or .45 Colt ammunition with a 3-inch barrel, there are lighter models, longer-barreled models, stainless and blued models and even the Raging Judge series, whose six-shot cylinders also accept the devastating .454 Casull cartridge.
