MDC 47 “Pestilence” Rifle Opens for Limited Pre-Orders Sunday

MDC (Meridian Defense Corp) sure is keeping things exciting for the AK-47 crowd. We recently reported on the “Trench Art” Classic Limited Edition rifle from the company. And now MDC is keeping the pace with its MDC 47 “Pestilence” rifle as part of its Apocalypse Series. But, just like the last rifle from the company, you’re going to need to stay alert because it is a limited pre-order final run. The limited pre-order will open this Sunday, February 19^th, at 8:00 AM PST.

The MDC 47 “Pestilence” Rifle

The “Pestilence” is the first in a four-rifle limited edition “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” Series. The series includes the already sold out “War,” “Famine,” and “Death” rifles. Now, fittingly, the “Pestilence” finishes out the final run of the Apocalypse Series.

Constructed of original Romanian military parts kits, the “Pestilence” builds on MDC’s 1mm fully heat-treated MDC-47 stamped receiver. The parts kit is riveted into the receiver for maximum durability. Likewise, MDC includes its American-made 4150 CMV black nitrided barrel for great accuracy and longevity.

The rifle measures 16.1 inches in overall length and features classic AK-47 styling. Additionally, the front end of the rifle features a precision machined AK (FSB) front sight base with an integrated gas block pinned and welded to the barrel. Likewise, the muzzle includes the muzzle device of your choice (choose between 7 options or your own device). However, if you choose to select your own device, it must have an overall length of 2.5 inches and 1/2×28 thread.

The wood furniture on each rifle is completely stripped down and refinished in MDC’s “Apocalypse” style stain. Correspondingly, MDC completely refinishes the entire rifle prior to it receiving the company’s hand-done battleworn finish.

Although it’s not available in Illinois, the “Pestilence” can ship to CA, NJ, NY, and CT in its states legal configuration. Just select between “Free States” or “(CA, NJ, NY, CT) State Compliant Configuration” at checkout.

Additionally, you have the choice to either pay a deposit of half the cost or the full cost when ordering. If you choose to pay the half-down deposit of $1,074.50, the remaining balance will be due upon completion of the build. According to MDC, estimated lead times are currently 12-24 weeks.
