The state of Michigan has received $1.2 million in federal stimulus grants for various law enforcement programs across the state.
The money will go to 43 programs, ranging from tablets for Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department to wearable video camera for Grosse Pointe Police Department officers.
The funding is through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) Program…
…The largest grant — $183,000 — goes to the Michigan State Police’s Justice Information Center to update records in the Law Enforcement Information Network.
