A team of 27 Florida law enforcement officers is heading to New Jersey to help in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.
The officers left Saturday night to help local authorities in Seaside Heights with curfew enforcement, respond to 911 calls, set up roadblocks and other patrol duties. That team is made up of officers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Roughly 100 of Florida’s first responders have volunteered to help in the wake of Sandy.
