BAGHDAD, Iraq – The man considered to be the mastermind behind recent bombings in Iraq was killed by coalition forces, says the U.S military. The building occupied by Mahir Ahmad Mahmud Judu al-Zubaydi also known as Abu Rami, was surrounded by coalition forces who called on the occupants to surrender but were engaged by small arms fire, says the military. The U.S military believes Abu Rami organized several car bombings in Baghdad including a November 2006 attack that killed more than 200.
