The All In All the Time Foundation is whole-heartedly committed to supporting Gold Star families and preserving the legacy of our nation’s fallen heroes. Christina Valentine is the surviving spouse of Special Operator Senior Chief (SOCS) SEAL Thomas J. Valentine who served at Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG). Tom died in a training accident in February 2008 during his 18th year of service. Despite this tragic loss, Christina’s devotion to the SEAL community has never faltered. That very year she started the “Tommy V Challenge.”
- RELATED STORY: Operation Red Wings | Navy SEALs & Army Special Forces
The All In All the Time Foundation was originally established with the objective of filling the immediate and interim financial needs of the surviving spouses and children of our fallen warriors, assistance includes legal fees (wills, estate management fees), household & auto repairs, counseling assistance (outside the military chain), and those critical, immediate non-standard support categories. As the needs of NSW have evolved, so has our mission. We have gladly expanded our focus to families in civilian transition, those fighting TBI and PTS, and scholarships and grants for active duty and retiring SEALs.
At the All In All the Time Foundation, we don’t call them anniversaries. That would imply a celebration. But we have planned several events to honor the heroes of Operation Red Wings on the 10-year mark of this horrific event.
Our upcoming events include:
- May 16: Wings for Warriors; Lendy’s Cafe
- June 27: Operation Red Wings; 10 Year Commemorative Event, Virginia Beach + Suffolk
- June 28: ORWX Sand & surf 10K; Sandbridge
- Oct. 30: Tommy V Challenge VI
AIATT will also be at SOFIC with its 2015 Gelande Quaffing and the SOFIC’ing Not a Golf Tournament Bowl-a-Thon!
As the 10-year Anniversary of Operation Red Wings approaches, it is with the utmost honor and respect that AIATT begin to plan Operation Red Wings 10th Year Commemoration Events. There are two options with both family-friendly events taking place in Hampton Roads June 27 and 28.
AIATT will start in Virginia Beach at Lendy’s Cafe with a remembrance poker-style motorcycle ride that will end at Skydive Suffolk. Once there, 19 SEALs will jump with 19 American flags, which will then be presented to the Gold Star Families of Operation Red Wings. There will be tandem jumps for Gold Star family members, representatives from each operation team being honored (ST10, SDV1-2, AND SOAR), food and drinks, music, auction and raffles, and of course activities for kids – it will be an amazing celebration of these warrior’s lives.
AIATT is very grateful to have Torrie Rogers as the lead organizer for the ride related portion. This event has been created to honor the men, the families left behind and the NSW community as whole with the help of teammates, Gold Star families, Wounded Wear, the Navy SEAL Foundation and the All In All the Time Foundation.
On Sunday, AIATT Ambassadors Bill and Anne Gassett are putting on one of their famous Sandbridge Beach Run and SUP races. This 10k event can be done as a team relay or as an individual racer. Breakfast and auction will follow. This event is very limited and will sell out so be sure to register early if you’re interested in racing.
As AIATT moves closer to the events, the organization warmly invite you to join it in honor of these great men. 100 percent of the proceeds from these events will go back to these families. Many of the community’s larger benevolent organizations were just starting when Operation Red Wings happened and unfortunately their benefits are not retroactive. Christina has taken it upon herself to go back to those families who didn’t receive assistance and provided support.
AIATT has been able to make a significant difference to the families of NSW over the last seven years thanks to your support. The organization would love to see all of you there! Please consider sponsoring or donating raffle items for one of these events. There are sponsorship opportunities at every level and most offer the chance to set up as a vendor for the 10-Year Commemoration event. Please reach out to AIATT if you would like a sponsorship form. AIATT welcomes any questions and hopes to see you there!
