A June 2007 report by the United Nations Population Fund led to the conclusion that more than half the world’s population will live in cities in the very near future.  This “decisive shift from rural to urban growth” marks a change in “a balance that has lasted for millennia,” the report said.

This report, combined with the U.S. Army’s belief that all wars will be fought in cities in the future, will drastically change the way military train and operate.  For more details, click here and return back to comment.
