Battleship New Jersey to Host Leroy W. Homer, Jr. Foundation Event for Veteran's Day

The Battleship New Jersey is preparing to host a Veteran’s Day event for the Leroy W. Homer, Jr. Foundation.

“Honoring the Past… Inspiring the Future” will take place on the Battleship New Jersey, in Camden, NJ on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM in support of The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation.

LeRoy W. Homer Jr. was the First Officer of United 93 on September 11th, 2001, which terrorists high jacked and crashed into a field in Shanksville,
PA. LeRoy W. Homer was a US Air Force Academy graduate, pilot and veteran and the Foundation was created to give scholarships to aspiring pilots to attend flight training.

This year’s fundraising event honors the heroes of the past and wants to inspire the heroes of tomorrow.

The Foundation is fortuante to have as a Guest speaker; actor, writer, director and veteran Brian Delate, who served in the US Army in Vietnam and who benefited from the USS New Jersey’s close in fire support. Several members of our Armed Forces will be present as well as past scholarship recipients.

Tickets are $75 per adult / $25 per child under 10. Limited tickets are available.
