In behavior reminiscent of 1960’s anti-war protests, city officials of Berkeley, Calif. told Marine recruiters they are no longer welcome in the city. Republican lawmakers threaten to retaliate against Berkeley’s actions by withholding about $5.3 million in federal and state dollars. “If the U.S. Marines are not good enough for Berkeley, neither are taxpayer dollars,” Said Texas Republican Sen.
