FREMONT, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol (CHP) increased the number of officers patrolling Calif. Highway 680 Wednesday where a sniper has fired on at least 25 drivers with a pellet-gun.  CHP investigators are currently following up on several leads and believe the agency is closing in on the shooter based on information from civilians and evidence gathered in the area.
