The California Association of Tactical Officers are holding their annual training conference in Santa Barbara this week. Swat officers from around the country took part.
Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Teams, Santa Barbara Police Swat teams, Oxnard and Ventura police came out for the best in tactical training.
CATO, one of the largest tactical organizations in the country, drew upwards of 800 officers for four days of top notch training. Swat officers took part in hostage rescue training, active shooter training, how to deal with barricaded suspects, terrorist situations, among others. They also did incident debriefs–breaking down critical situations that have taken place, and learning from mistakes.
