A California fundraiser delivers K-9 Ballistic Vests to a few dogs who walk the thin blue line.
According to Ceres police, a fundraiser at a Modesto dog park attracted several hundred people and brought in more than $3,200—enough to buy three K-9 Ballistic Vests for local units. The lucky recipients are Volk of Modesto, Dex of Ceres and Ruger of Orland.
The vests are made to order and will protect the dogs from bullets, knives and blunt-force trauma, Ceres police said.
